Honey

Provence has many beekeepers. Aromatic plants are many in the region (lavender, thyme, rosemary …) and allow the production of a wide variety of honey. Thus the apiary of the Alpes de Haute Provence ranks second nationally, with more than 750 beekeepers and 30,600 hives. (Figures of the Chamber of Agriculture of Alpes de Haute-Provence)

Note that many beekeepers also open their farm to the public for tours and tastings.
