Hiking
There is many hiking trails around Castellane. The majority of them sink into the Gorges du Verdon and offer exceptional views. Presentation.
Sentier Blanc-Martel
The sentier Blanc-Martel is a 7 hours hike (14 km), which connects the chalet de la Maline in point sublime, near Rougon.
Two possibilities to go there :
- Take the shuttle from Castellane in the morning, and the one from Point Sublilme to Castellane in the evening.
- Going by car to Point Sublime in the morning, then take the shuttle which leads walkers to the Chalet de la Maline. You’ll find your car while arriving at sublime point at the end of the walk.
Don’t forget: water, a snack, walking shoes, hat and sunscreen … and a flashlight! (the trail passes through two tunnels : the Trescaïre tunnel and the Baou tunnel - 110m and 670m long, respectively).
